We will work hard to get your pet back to you as soon as possible, but whilst they are staying with us there are a number of ways you can pass the time:
We are situated across the road from the National Trust's Wimpole Estate . This is a working estate guided by the seasons, and has an impressive mansion, lovely gardens and walks, Home Farm and a cafe. More details and event listings can be found on the website.
Why not travel into Cambridge to visit the historic colleges? Relax as you take a chauffeured punt down the river Cam along the world famous 'backs' or simply hit the shops. We are just 10 minutes from Madingley Park & Ride so you can forget the hassle of parking.
Just a minute or two up the road is the delightful family-run farm of Burwash Manor. Burwash has a collection of unique, independent, characterful shops offering a range of goods including a deli, fine wine & craft beer, a haberdashery and childrens toys, many of which are locally produced. It even has a blacksmith for those essential ironmongery items! There are a number of walking routes should your other dog feel he is missing out.
Also close by is the picturesque village of Grantchester, with the Orchard tearooms, good pubs and lovely walks accross the meadows and by the river. The village is also the setting for James Runcie's novels The Grantchester Mysteries, now adapted as an ITV drama titled Grantchester.
We are a few miles away from Bourn Golf Club, where there is also a restaurant and Beauty Spa
Cambridge has a large number of excellent restaurants open for lunch or a light bite. For something closer, we can recommend La Pergola, at the Wheatsheaf, just 5 minutes up the road towards Cambridge.
