Katie qualified in 2015 and has worked in both general practice and referral hospitals. She worked at a general practice from 2013 to 2016 and then joined a large referral hospital in Newmarket. Katie worked as an Internal Medicine Nurse for 3 years before internally transferring to the oncology department for a further 3 years.
Katie then went to work for a mixed general practice where she was able to assist and anaesthetised a variety of animals from rats to sheep, goats and cows. Katie joined the team in October 2023 and is interested in enhancing her anaesthesia and analgesia skills.
Katie has three pets: a cocker spaniel called Ollie (or as known in her house, ‘the little prince’) a naughty Irish sports horse called Moo and a rescue chinchilla called Churro.
